Columbus Silver Acquisition By Santa Fe Gold Is Approved
VANCOUVER, BC - Columbus Silver Corporation reported that its securityholders have voted overwhelmingly in favor of the proposed acquisition of the Company by Santa Fe Gold Corporation at Columbus Silver's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and Special Meeting of Securityholders. According to the Scrutineer's Interim Report on the Meeting, 39 shareholders representing 13,624,031 common shares or approximately 26.88% of the Company's outstanding Shares, and 10 option holders representing 2,465,000 incentive stock options or approximately 80.86% of the Company's outstanding incentive stock options, voted via proxy at the Meeting. Of the foregoing, over 99.6% of Share and option holder votes were cast in favour of the Acquisition, passing the motion by a significant margin.
