Gold Results On First Four Drill Holes At Windfall Lake
VANCOUVER, BC - Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation has received the final assay results from its first 4 holes (Holes EAG-10-227, 228, 229 and 231) from the Company's 14 Hole summer drill program at the Windfall Lake Property.
The final assay results show gold results in all of the first four holes drilled. A sample of these results include Hole EAG-10-229 with 7.72 g/t gold over 11.40 meters (4.96 g/t when cut to 1.00 oz/t), including 78.30 g/t gold over 0.80 meters, and in a separate intercept 26.10 g/t gold over 2.00 meters (22.50 g/t when cut to 1.00 oz/t). Hole EAG-10-331 showed 4.78 g/t gold over 9.75 meters (the same when cut to 1.00 oz/t) including 26.10 g/t gold over 1.0 meter. Most importantly there were gold results over widths of at least 7.00 meters in all four holes. In addition there appears to be evidence of a new zone of gold mineralization at a depth of only 60 meters from the surface.
"These results show continuity of gold mineralization throughout what we have referred to as Zone 27," explained Brad Kitchen, President and C.E.O. of Eagle Hill. "We feel there is no question that there is a gold deposit at Windfall Lake, the only question which remains is how many zones are on the entire property and how large is the related gold deposit."
Drill holes 227, 228, 229 and 231 are the first four holes from the summer drill program at Windfall Lake Property. The summer drill program is scheduled to be 14 holes and will encompass approximately 5,000 meters in total. The current drill program is just over 50% complete but final assay results are slow in coming due to increased volume at the assay lab.
This current drill program was designed to better understand the geological structure of the gold mineralization in Zone 27. This zone encompasses historic drill holes such as NOT-04-27 (3.90 g/t gold over 35.55 meters), NOT-05-73 (39.94 g/t gold over 17.30 meters) and EAG-10-196 (14.2 g/t gold over 52.00 meters). The results from the current drill program confirm the continuity of the gold mineralization throughout Zone 27. Discovery of the potential new zone close to the surface was not anticipated. The results from the entire program will be used to update the Windfall Lake Property model. The model will then help assess new gold mineralization so that a better understanding of the property's gold deposits can be determined.
