Tri Origin Completes Drilling Program
AURORA, ON - Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. reported that it has completed drilling at its 100%-owned Red Lake Extension ("RLX") property at Red Lake, Ontario.
The program consisted of five diamond drill holes totalling 837 metres. All holes were successful in reaching their targets. A zone of strong silica and biotite alteration in hole 5 returned a best assay of 2.46 grams of gold per tonne across a one metre sample interval. Two other holes intersected sulphide-rich intervals of up to 10 metres in thickness. Anomalous gold values of up to 350 ppb (0.35 grams of gold per tonne) and base metal values of up to 0.95% zinc and 0.4% copper across one metre intervals were returned from samples of the sulphide-rich rock.
The holes were designed to test airborne electromagnetic ("VTEM") and soil geochemical anomalies located within a 4 kilometre by 2 kilometre area at the north western part of the property. These targets were covered by overburden and hence, their geological setting was unknown. The Company is encouraged by these recent drill results which have outlined areas of gold enrichment and further confirmed that the geological style of gold mineralization and alteration intersected by drilling resembles that of the nearby Red Lake Gold Mining District. Further work has commenced to trace the gold-bearing rocks and select new, prospective targets for follow-up drilling.
RLX is a gold exploration project covering a contiguous group of mining claims with an area of approximately 121 square kilometres located at the southeast part of the Red Lake Gold Mining District. The company's address is 125 Don Hillock Drive, Unit 18, Aurora, ON L4G 0H8, (905) 727-1779, fax: (905) 727-8779, email: [email protected].
