High-Grade Gold Assays From Homestake Ridge
VANCOUVER, BC - Bravo Venture Group Inc. reported that drilling on its 100 percent owned Homestake Ridge project in NW British Columbia continues to provide definition to the distribution of both higher-grade horizons within the known resource and of tabular mineralized horizons extending from its western margins.
The company reported that the upper part of drill hole HR08-102 averages 13.6g/t Au and 81.3g/t Ag over a 6.14 metre interval, which includes a 1.9 metre interval grading 38.4g/t Au and 30.0g/t Ag and a 0.61 metre interval grading 7.7g/t Au and 482g/t Ag. This hole represents a 35 metre lateral offset from mineralization encountered in the upper part of drill hole HR05-13 (4.65 metres grading 7.9g/t Au and 554.63g/t Ag) and provides further confirmation of the continuity of mineralization within the "Hangingwall Silver" horizon, which lies stratigraphically above the main gold horizons. Assays from the lower part of the hole are pending. All intervals are reported as estimated true thickness.
The company also reported preliminary gold assays from drill hole HR08-101, which includes an 11.9 metre interval grading 1.0g/t Au. This hole is a 25 metre step-out from the upper mineralized horizon in drill hole HR07-63 (20.8m grading 1.2g/t Au), extending laterally and to the west of a tabular, near-surface mineralized zone at the 900m (elev.) level of the deposit.
Bravo completed 42 core holes totaling more than 8,400 metres of drilling at Homestake Ridge in 2008. Thirty-five drill holes were completed at the Main Homestake Ridge target, three drill holes at the Homestake Silver target, and two holes on each of the Vanguard Gold and Vanguard Copper targets. Samples from drill holes HR08-117, HR08-118 and HR08-120, which were designed to offset previously reported high-grade mineralization in hole HR08-87 (52.5 metres true-width grading 21.0g/t Au; see NR-22-08), have been submitted and assays are now pending. Core logging and preparation of samples for assay continues in a newly acquired warehouse facility in Prince Rupert, BC. To date assays have been received for 22 drill holes. Assays are pending for the remaining 20 drill holes.
