Commencement of Drilling on Exploration Target

GOLD HILL, NV - GoldSpring, Inc. reported the expansion of its land position at its Comstock Project through the recent acquisition of the Dondero property, which is located 1.5 miles south of its Hartford Complex. Exploration drilling commenced on this property in mid-January. To date, two of the ten planned drill holes targeted in the initial exploration program have been completed.
The Company currently has four drills in operation at its Comstock Project; one of the drills is being deployed at the Dondero property; two of the drills are allocated to develop the drill-indicated deposit, and the fourth drill is being used to expand exploration. Exploration drilling in the Keystone area commenced in the fourth quarter of 2008 with an initial five hole program. Drill hole assay results are pending and geologic logging underway. Exploration below the historic Woodville shaft and bonanza deposit, which commenced in early January 2009, has intersected the targeted zone and the host rock is being assayed.
Since the beginning of this drilling program in November 2007, the Company has completed approximately 150 drill holes and has reported assay results from 71 holes. The drilling campaign has proven successful, with nearly all the assay results showing gold and silver mineralization.
