Lindero Property Update
Vancouver, BC - Mansfield Minerals Inc. is progressing with its pre-feasibility study at Lindero under the experienced supervision of American Au Ag Associates. Geotechnical studies have been completed under the direction of Benjamin Seegmiller, Ph.D, P.Eng, which included 1,200m of drilling in five holes to determine pit slope stabilities. In addition, a seismic survey was executed by Area Geofisica S.A. of Buenos Aires to determine rippability characteristics of the Red Bed sequence surrounding the Lindero deposit, located in Northwestern, Argentina.
Four blast tests totaling 30,000 tonnes were also undertaken, three of which were done in ore rock and the remaining test within waste rock. The objective of the blast testing is to determine sizing for conveying and crushing parameters. Significant delays were experienced in completing tests blasts due to equipment breakdowns, and blast hole drill rental availability within Argentina was found to be very limited. Concurrent with the completion of blast testing, the Company has shipped bulk samples to Metso Minerals Test Center in the U.S. and Humboldt Wedag in Germany for test crushing.
The delays experienced result in the pre-feasibility study not being completed in Q4/08 as previously contemplated. The Company will continue to move forward in all facets of the pre-feasibility study on a timely basis while minimizing capital outlays.
The company's address is Suite 922, 510 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 1L8.
