Exploration And Definition Drilling Program At The Lac Tetepisca Project

KINGSTON, ON - Focus Graphite Inc. reported on the first five (5) holes from the exploration and definition drilling program at Lac Tetepisca graphite project, located southwest of the Manicouagan Reservoir in the Cote-Nord administrative region of Quebec, on the Nitassinan of the Pessamit Innu. Focus completed 14,900.5 meters of core drilling from 74 holes, including 6,640.2 meters of definition drilling from 27 deep holes along strike of its Manicouagan Ouest Graphitic Corridor (MOGC) deposit. The results reported are for five (5) deep definition holes drilled on sections at 50-meter interval over a 200 m strike length section of the MOGC deposit, between Line 6+50S and Line 8+50S.

Hole LT-22-130, drilled at -65o to a vertical depth of 198.5 meters on Section L6+50S, intersected 86.66 meters grading 15.00% Cg (from 93.6 meters to 197.3 meters), including:60.1 meters grading 17.71% Cg (from 105.0 meters to 177.0 meters). Hole LT-22-131, drilled at -65o to a vertical depth of 198.5 meters on Section L7+00S, intersected 92.42 meters grading 14.28% Cg (from 90.0 meters to 200.7 meters), including: 67.0 meters grading 16.03% Cg (from 106.9 meters to 198.6 meters). Hole LT-22-132, drilled at -65o to a vertical depth of 201.2 meters on Section L7+50S, intersected 91.83 meters grading 13.84% Cg (from 86.5 meters to 196.4 meters), including: 53.75 meters  grading 16.43% Cg (from 101.7 meters to 166.0 meters); and, 16.08 meters grading 16.44% Cg (from 174.8 meters to 194.0 meters). Hole LT-22-133, drilled at -62o to a vertical depth of 209.3 meters on Section L8+00S, intersected 75.72 meters  grading 16.28% Cg (from 125.5 meters to 213.2 meters). Hole LT-22-134, drilled at -62o to a vertical depth of 219.4 meters on Section L8+50S, intersected 83.01 meters grading 15.74% Cg (from 119.0 meters to 215.2 meters).

"We're thrilled to kick off 2023 with these terrific results from Lac Tetepisca," said Marc Roy, President and CEO. "They demonstrate excellent continuity in the thickness and graphitic carbon grades of the main graphite mineralization at depth and along strike of the MOGC deposit, and they continue to illustrate the potential for a significant extension of the deposit at depth. We look forward to the results of the 22 other deep definition holes drilled last year, which are expected to arrive in the coming months, and will then be combined with those of the 106 holes drilled by the Company from 2014 to 2020 to form the basis of an updated mineral resource estimate for the MOCG deposit tentatively planned for Q3 2023.
